Linam Ramblings

This site started out as a collection of our photos and Abby's diary from our trip to Australia in 2005, but I decided to keep adding photos and stories from other places and events that inspire us. Hope they inspire you too!

November 11, 2005 - Melbourne, Australia

It was another wet and cold day, so today we went to the Melbourne Museum. It had a lot of cool things in it. One of the things it had in it was a great exhibit about Phar Lap, the great Australian race horse. It also had a big section about Aborigines and a neat outdoor exhibit about how Aborigines understood the natural environment, but it was cold and wet out there!

After the museum we walked into downtown and shopped. We bought something for almost all our relatives.

After that the sun was finally out, so we went to the botanic gardens. There were so many good climbing trees!

We rode one of Melbourne's famous trams to back to Kate's house. On the first ride we did not have enough change so my dad jumped the tram!

Kate has a really cute cat. His name is Felix. He loves to play rough. I have scratches from him all over my arm.
