California Vacation - July 31
Frank's Journal:
We got up, ate breakfast, and went on the famous 17-mile drive. We drove past the Pebble Creek Golf Course (which costs $450 to play on!). We drove along the pretty ocean. Then we started driving down the coast. We picnicked with some Redwood tress at Big Sur. They were tall, but they weren't nearly as big or impressive as the Sequoias. Then we left there and saw some more good views of the ocean. Then we went to a fancy restaurant called Nepenthe. The whole building was made of redwood wood. We ate cheese and bread there. We drove more winding roads along the coast and saw Sea Lions and Seals. We also saw a couple of Sea Otters. The we got to Moro Bay and set up camp and went to bed.
